Our Cocochoco hair botox treatment is an all-in-one treatment to nourish the hair and eliminate frizz. If you suffer from frizzy, thin, damaged or dehydrated hair that is prone to split ends, this treatment will result in hair that is smooth, silky, shiny and more youthful looking, with little to no frizz. A unique blend of proteins, amino acids, vitamins and lipids helps to fill in the gaps within the hair fibres, providing an intense conditioning of the hair and eliminating frizz without sacrificing hair volume.

How to Apply the Treatment?

Before starting, keep in mind that this is a professional treatment and as such, the application process can take about 3 hours, depending on hair length.

Instructions

Wash your hair thoroughly with Cocochoco Clarifying Shampoo. Apply, and leave on your hair for 3-5 minutes, then rinse off.
Towel-dry the hair and lightly blow-dry until it’s around 60-70% wet.
Apply the Cocochoco hair smoothing treatment with a silicone brush, strand by strand, 1-1.5 cm away from the roots.
Leave the treatment on the hair for 20-30 minutes. Exposure time depends upon the condition of your hair and the degree of damage.
Dry your hair completely with a warm blow-dryer and comb it through.
Polish the hair with a flat iron at a temperature between 190 and 220 degrees Celsius. The temperature setting depends on the condition of your hair – more damage requires a lower setting, while virgin/brunette/curly hair needs a higher heat. Take strands 1 cm thick at an angle of 90 degrees to the scalp. It is recommended to use a heat-resistant comb. Go over each section 4-6 times depending on the original hair condition. (For extremely damaged hair, reduce the number of iterations).
After 24 hours, wash any residue from the hair with Cocochoco Pure Essentials Shampoo and Conditioner.

What is a Keratin Straightening Treatment?
The Cocochoco line of keratin straightening products consists of advanced, in-salon treatments that restore and restructure the hair by infusing a special blend of hydrolyzed keratin deep into the cuticle. The hydrolyzed keratin is bonded to the cuticle with heat from a flat iron to relax the hair’s subcuticular layer, resulting in renewed smoothness and shine.

How much time should be allowed for each client?
Time should be determined on an individual basis. Cocochoco recommends an initial consultation with each client to determine hair length, type and texture. As a general rule, please allow a two to three-hour window for the keratin treatment.

What results can be expected after the Keratin Straightening Treatment?
The hair will be more manageable, easy to style, and resistant to humidity. It will feel noticeably softer and silkier, with added life & shine.

Can I colour/highlight my hair after the treatment?
Yes, you can safely colour your hair 2 weeks before or 2 weeks after the treatment. For better results, we recommend to bleach/highlight hair 2 weeks before the treatment, and colour/dye the hair 2 weeks after the treatment.

Should the hair be cut before or after the treatment?
We recommend that the hair be cut after the treatment, as the hair will have a smoother texture and will lie differently.

Can the treatments be done on chemically treated, relaxed or straightened hair?
Yes. In fact, the Cocochoco keratin treatments work to repair damage caused by chemical treatments. It is recommended to wait two weeks between any chemical treatments and to adjust iron temperature based on hair type, as outlined in the training.

How many days after the treatment before the hair can get wet or be washed?
You must wait three days (72 hours) before washing your hair or swimming.

Can the hair be pulled back or clipped up during the 72-hour waiting period?
No. Avoid making any impressions on the hair from clips, ponytail holders, hats or sunglasses.

What should be done if the hair gets wet during the 72-hour waiting period?
Blow-dry and flat iron with medium to low heat as soon as possible.

What kind of shampoo and conditioner should be used?
