Keratin
PROS

- After the treatment the client must keep the hair down, straight and dry for 72 hours before washing the hair for the first time
- Strict maintenance needs to be carried out by the client
- The lamination can easily break down if the client does not maintain it correctly, leading to short-lived results
Hair Botox
PROS
- Smooth, shiny hair results for an average of 12-16 weeks
- Nourishing treatment, restoring hair condition
- Vast reduction of frizz in the hair, while maintaining some shape and movement
- Improves the manageability of the hair
- Provides UV protection
CONS
- After the treatment the client must keep the hair down, straight and dry for 72 hours before washing the hair for the first time
- Strict maintenance needs to be carried out by the client
- The lamination can easily break down if the client does not maintain it correctly, leading to short-lived results
- Not a straightening treatment, it is strictly a smoothing treatment
Onyx
PROS
- A new-generation treatment
- A versatile treatment; the results depend on the application
- Provides longer lasting effects; an average of 6 months!
- Works on the inner layers of the hair, not just the outside
- No waiting for 72/24 hours to wash the hair; the wash is done at the end of the service
- Clients can tie up or style their hair immediately
- For repeat clients, you will just need to refresh the lengths of the hair, while strongly treating the root area
CONS
- A longer application process; longer development time and a wash at the end of the service can add approximately an hour longer to the client’s time
- An acidic product which can lift the hair colour; particularly hair that is dyed darker colours
- Not suitable for very damaged hair types
- As Onyx is working inside the hair to soften the bonds for restructuring, you may initially find a slight metallic smell to the hair. This is normal, and will wash away after a few washes with Cocochoco aftercare products. The smell will only be noticeable for those first few washes when the hair is wet, not at all when it is dry.
